Abstract
The author reports about an interesting collection of texts (so called Ostraca) from the Iron Age. This collection was found in the capital city of the Kingdom of (North) Israel at that time, the city of Samaria.
It dates back apparently to the 8 th century B.C. The interpretation of the texts hasn´t been finished so far.
According to the nexty found facts it might be taxes given to the people from so called higher class of Samaria population from the tenants of the royal vineyards in samaria surroudings.
