Abstract
This thesis deals with the religious thought of the founder of Slavonic studies Josef Dobrovský (1753 - 1829). It describes his religious wievs in the vider context of the Czech Catholic Enlightement and shows their gradual development from radical doubts to more conservative attitudes of older age.
