Abstrakt
The Holy See is one of the most interesting phenomena on the political map of the world. In the article, the author tries to clarify its specific position from the point of view of international law.
The Apostolic See is also analyzed as a specific actor of international relations. Thus, its both bilateral and multilateral diplomatic relations are outlined.
Emphasis is also put on its status as a permanent observer at the United Nations. Moreover, some arguments of critics of the Holy See's statehood are brought and consecutively refuted.
