Abstract
This article discusses existing and historic islands in the Vltava within the current boundaries of Prague. It classifies islands by their formation, functional use and significance and briefly details significant island structures and events.
In addition to text and tables, the article includes maps and historic and present-day photographs. The center section of the article has been prepared in such a manner that it can be used as a poster
