Abstract
This paper points out certain, common flaws in teaching about India in geography lessons and suggests possible improvements. The authors describe their literature review of available Czech and translated, foreign sources on the topic and provide material for teaching a lesson on India that emphasises its socio-economic diversity and development potential.
