Abstract
Preschool age is also called the age of imitation. A child is observing the behavior of real and symbolic models in its environment, learns how to behave in various situations.
We introduce the principles of observational learning. Through the media the child gets a lot of symbolic models.
The examples of movies, shows and series for preschoolers will show you how to think about their importance for the development of resilience. It's about how the model are identifiable characters in the story for problem solving.
We consider as optimal, when the hero in the story chooses constructive strategies of problem solving. We can recommend the series Bob the Builder, the film Finding Nemo and children's show Sesame Street.
