The Formation of Territorial Identity of the Czechs and Slovaks

Abstrakt

The territorial identity of the inhabitants represents their territorial consciousness, their relationship to regional units within which an element of power or dominance is institutionalized. The process of territorial identification of the Czechs and Slovaks took place in different socio-spatial context, even though both nations have lived for centuries in the common state formations.

In the paper I would like to unify the view of the history of Czechs and Slovaks and at their territorial consciousness.
