Abstract
The Book "Protection of animals" in law is the first complex overview of animal law in Czech. Starting with historical, philosophical and social perspectives of human-animal relationship, it focuses on the current position of animals in law and society.
The publication introduces a full range of animal law issues, including difficult and controversial matters such as practical and legal aspects of animal testing and modern biotechnologies (animal cloning and related patent questions).
