Abstract
Author deals with the Czech legal regulation of the keeping of wild animals in zoological gardens in the view of the entering the Czech Republic into the European Union, namely conversion of the Directive No. 1999/22/EC relating to the keeping of wild animals in zoo into Zoological Garden Act (2003 No. 162).
