Abstract
The study - which was created within the research project of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic - deals with reform steps which have been realised, prepared to the realization or at least proposed by the resent Secretary General of the UN from 1997 to 2004. It analyses the character of particular reform steps, describes the process of their realization, appraises their results and notifies of attitudes of relevant subjects to them.
