Abstract
Popularity of sport branches in Czech Republic was investigated on the representative sample of more than 1000 respondents. The most popular sports are two: Ice hockey (1) and football (2) (soccer).
Both of them have the strongest impact on public. Women tend to watch mostly ice hockey while males football.
As popularity of sport branches in concerned, these two extra-sports are distandly followed by track and field (3), tennis (4) and downhill skiing (5).
