Abstract
The most important objective of this project was to analyse those articles in the press, which are related to several sports sectors and federations in order to obtain basis for allocation fiscal resources for national sport representation of particular sports. We chose these newspapers : MF Dnes, Lidové noviny, Zemské noviny, and sport newspapers - Sport.
Newspapers were choosen to be present the Czech Press and to respond to requirements of our project. We analysed the press four times in given years, seven days in every quarter with special attention for the Olympic Games.
The results showed that it is possible to divide sports into four primary groups: sports with the gratest interest of public, sports with great interest of public, sports with great interest of public, sports with interest of 1,5-6% of public, and sports with interet of less than 1,5% of public.
