Abstract
The symposium The World of Hierarchies and Real Socialism was written in the project GA ČR 403/01/1564 The Legacy of Communist Rule. The objective of the study is, on the basis of a multilateral reconstruction of the procedures of Communist governance to distinguish, describe and theoretically grasp the mechanism and the strategy of governance in real socialism and the sources of its post-1989 inertia.
