Bohemian Breweries Limited – Goldmine or Trap?. Part 1 : Foundation of the Company in 1889

Abstract

The paper aims to describe the history of the British joint-stock company Bohemian Breweries Limited, which owned three breweries in Prague in the turbulent period of the late 19th century. The first part of the three-part paper explains why British investors focused on the Bohemian brewing industry and describes the history and the development of the three plants.
