Bohemian Breweries Limited – Goldmine or Trap? Part II : Czech Boycotts and Alexander Wentworth Forbes

Abstract

The paper aims to describe the history of the British joint-stock company Bohemian Breweries Limited, which owned three breweries in Prague in the turbulent period of the late 19th century. The second part of the three-part paper analyzes the potential and the risks of the local Bohemian market and introduces the company‘s director Alexander Wentworth Forbes, who also became the first British consul in Prague.
