: In April 2010, a glacial lake outburst flood (GLOF) occurred along the Chucchun River as a result of ice-rockfall into Lake 513 in the Cordillera Blanca, Peru. This paper presents reconstruction of the selected hydrological properties of this unrecorded event using 1D flood model prepared with HEC-RAS.
The main model inputs were obtained from detailed field surveys pertaining to the topography and the surface characteristics of the river channel and adjacent overbank while the limited information available from flood marks were also used.
