The Unity of Kostnice and the return to Czech Protestants into Czechoslovakia. Importance of a succesful repatriation
Abstrakt
The text describes repatriation and re-emigration , which began to develop after the First World War in Czechoslovakia. The First World War is regarded as significant of a historical turning point in the development of several nations.
One of its most significant impact on the European continent was the disintegration of multinational monarchies , for example, the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the consequent emergence of new successor states. Along with this, inevitably was discovered the problem of population movements between these countries , which concerned the Czechoslovakia.
It had an interest in repatriating their residents from countries of the former Austro- Hungarian Empire ( mainly from Austria , Poland and Hungary ). The concept of repatriation has become an important discussion point in inter-war Czechoslovakia.
This issue was devoted to state and non-state institutions. At the beginning of the text is a part of the activity of the Czechoslovakia and the importance of the institutions of the repatriation process .The most important positions had the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Social Welfare.
The core of the text is devoted to the activity of The Unity of Kostnice , which focused mainly on the return of Czech Protestants back to their homeland. It is the best example of a collective organizer of repatriation , which showed how it can be more efficient and better organizable .It describes and analyzes the importance of the ongoing repatriation , financial , social and political problems that were associated with it.
Also text highlights the benefits of organized collective repatriation versus individual who was able to effectively address to the relevant institutions and authorities , but also the general public for Czechoslovak repatriation projects.
