The spectral mapping theorem for Davies´ functional calculus

Abstract

We prove that for the functional calculus based on the Helffer-Sjostrand formula the weak spectral mapping theorem holds. Our tool is the notion of the Arveson spectrum of a homomorphism acting on a regular Banach algebra.
