Apoplastic barriers to radial oxygen loss and solute penetration: a chemical and functional comparison of the exodermis of two wetland species, Phragmites australis and Glyceria maxima
The study focused on functional properties of root exodermis, mainly the effect on comunication with the rhizosphere. The root apoplastic bariers are analyzed in detail in two species Phragmites australis and Glyceria maxima.
