Abstract
To understand German anti-Semitism that led to the possibility of realization of Holocaust means foremost to understand German specific concepts apart themselves. The text traces emerging of the German nationalism as a reaction to the Napoleon invasion, when the category of language as a one of ethno - identification elements had been gradually substituted by category of race.
In herby defined ethno-national society had Jews just two possibilities: to be banished or to be murdered. Both become reality.
