Dendrological characteristics of subrecent fossil plant remains from the Uzon Caldera in Kamchatka (eastern Russia)

Abstract

The first dendrological characteristics of subrecent plant fossils in Uzon Caldera (Kamchatka) showed that Salix assemblage dominated in forest vegetation in the studied area several thousand years ago. This is in contrast to conteporary situation.
