Quantitative diagnosis of affective dimension of students' preconceptions toward phenomenon of alternative religiosity

Abstract

The paper deals with pupil's conceptions (preconceptions) of alternative religiosity, especially the attitudes of grammar school pupils to this phenomenon. Conducted international research presents contemporary attitudes Czech and Slovak youth to the concept of religiosity and in terms of the population surveyed also outlines the impact of school education institutions in these traditional values and principles.

Attitudes are compared between pupils from secondary school run by the county and students of religious schools. The social climate designed and strongly value-based consumer lifestyle affects the values of youth.

The research points to the transformation of the spiritual life of students and the decrease of their relationship and the importance of traditional ideas and religious values. Also discussed are the various dimensions (components) of student's concepts and their relationship in the process of learning about the world and its components.

Results of the research indicate a weak influence school institutions in shaping attitudes and personal qualities of students to the analysis of the phenomenon.
