Effect of melatonin, captopril, sprionolactone and simvastatin on blood pressure and left ventricular remodeling in spontaneously hypertensive rats

Abstrakt

Although melatonin, in comparison with captopril, did not reverse left ventricle hypertrophy, it reversed left ventricular fibroris. Protection by melatonin may depend on its strong antioxidative effect.
