Abstract
The review deals with aeting disorders. In the theoretical part of the thesis opinions on risk factors are both reviewed and put into developmental context.
Contemporary opinions about treatment of eating disorders are included with particular focus on psychological and psychoterapeutic ways of treatment. Main attention is drawn to family therapy for eating disorders.
In dealing with this topic, developmental and social psychology perspectives as well as counselling aspects are emphasized.It is based on the notion that eating disorder is not only an individual problem but it is related to specific structure of family and its functioning.
