Spinocerebellar ataxis are a clinically heterogenous group of neurodegenerative disorders of the cerebellum. They are associated with impairment of cognitive function and emotional changes.
We described the case of two patients, a mother and a doughter, with type 2 autosomal dominant spinocerebellar ataxia. We compared the findings of psychiatry and neuropsychology examinations with results of functional brain imaging.
