Prospective clinical study of the mutual interactions and particular role of endothelial dysfunction and disorders of cholesterol metabolism in atherogenesis of coronary artery disease in patients with diabetes mellitus type II. The aim is to investigate correlation of occurrence and the grade of coronary atherosclerosis with: i) soluble adhesive molecules as markers of endothelial dysfunction, ii) biosynthesis and absorption of cholesterol and its intermediary products, iii) spectrum of plasma lipids, iv) vitamin E content in serum and cell membranes, v) lipoperoxidation formation and antioxidant consumption.
