Activity of Thrombocytes as a Markef of Sufficient Intensity of LDL-apheresis in Familial Hypercholesterolaemia

Abstrakt

Extracorporeal elimination is used for selective removal of LDL-cholesterol in severe hypercholestrolaemias. The test of platelet aggregability was modified (various ADP dilutions) and only then changes in aggregation could be observed immediately after completion of the procedure.

This modification seems to be a suitable marker to determine the therapy intensity.
