Role of the MIB-1 proliferative marker in the diagnosis and prognosis of tumors of the thyroid gland

Abstract

MIB1 index was evaluated in 155 thyroid oncocytic and nononcocytic tumors, and correlated with diagnosis, size, and age. Carcinomas showed significantly higher index than adenomas.

It was higher in oncocytic adenomas than in nononcocytic ones.
