Cytokine and estradiol concentrations in male and female rats with liver fibrosis

Abstrakt

Biopsies of fibrotic liver tissue of rats were cultivated in vitro.Males had higher of IL-6 and TNF-alpha in liver tissue than females.Females with hepatic fibrosis had higher estradiol levels and lower ALT and GGT in serum than males.
