QF-PCR Examination of Parental and Meiotic Origin of Trisomy 21 in Central and Eastern Europe

Abstract

Paternal/meiotic origin of free trisomy 21 was studied in nuclear families from Russia, Ukraine and Germany. Maternal nondisjunction was revealed in majority of the families (77-94 %), paternal origin in 6-13 % of families.
