Role of exogenous and endogenous silicon in ameliorating behavioural responses to aluminium in a freshwater snail

Abstract

Aluminium accumulation by the freshwater snail Lymnaea stagnalis is correlated with behavioural depression which is ameliorated by addition of orthosilicic acid.
