As a result of fixation of a rigid joint children develop serious deformities of the heel and foot. In the author's opinion the crucial moment of therapy is prevention of the injury.
Equally important is prevention of the development of a hypertrophic scar by adequate therapeutic rehabilitation. In comprehensive therapy the author emphasizes the necessity of active collaboration of parents with health professionals.
