The incidence of Harris lines in the non-adult Great Moravian population of Mikulčice (Czech Republic) with reference to social position

Abstract

Harris lines (HL), the markers of temporary arrest in longitudinal bone growth, are an indicator of the state of health of past populations. HLs are generally considered to be a reaction to a pathological condition or nutritional deficiency.
