Pachysternum capense, a new genus and species for Europe, and updated key to genera and subgenera of European Sphaeridiinae (Coleoptera: Hydrophilidae)

Abstract

Pachysternum capense (Mulsant, 1844) is recorded for the first time from Europe (Greece). The species is redescribed and a key to the European genera and subgenera of the subfamily Sphaeridiinae is provided.
