Publication

Abstract

The paper presents results of a qualitative study based on life course theory. The aim of the study was to observe a live course of young disabled people who grew up in foster families.

The research is focused on finding barriers that prevent them from achieving their individual whishes and goals. All respondents indicated that for them the main turning point in their lives was an initial experience with a sense of belonging (to foster family).
