The Prague German Zionist magazine Selbstwehr was in circulation from the 1st of March 1907 until the 8th of October 1938. The weekly publication was amongst some of the most influential Jewish periodicals of the time.
I follow the medial situation and conditions in which periodicals were published at the turn of the First and Second Republic. The second part of my paper analyses content changes in Selbstwehr.
In this section, I particularly stress the reflection of serious social issues in literature and cultural articles.
