Abstract
The monograph summarizes recent findings on systemic treatment of cancer, mainly targeting methods ("Biological") therapy. The authors explain the mechanisms of action of targeted therapeutics, describe the signaling pathways leading to malignant transformation of cells and provide new insights into therapeutic strategies in the context of conventional chemotherapy.
Particular attention is devoted to affecting tumor microenvironment (ecosystem) such as the influence angiogenesis and metastasis. Full-color book is very well documented pictorially - the reader will find in it the original 52 images and 12 tables.
