From the "universalism" of globalization. World of many "worlds" (which did not?)

Abstract

The essay analyses four and half centuries of the development of the mankind (1000-1450) as a period of civilisation diversity. These were „worlds“ whose enclosure wasn´t absolute but their mutual contact had an incidental character.

Three cicilizations had a tendency to globalize: Christian, Islamic and Mongolian. The fact that the world was finally conquered by the Europeans appears to be more of a coincidence than a logical process.
