In a European-wide effort to improve the professional development of teachers, the EU 2AgePro project was in progress in 2008 - 2010 with the aim to develop and test reciprocal learning scenarios for novice and senior teachers in five countries: the Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden. The 2Agepro project struggled to exploit results from the national pilots to create a joint model for these types of intergenerational collaboration – a model that could be used regardless of national or cultural setting.
The article reports on the national pilots that were conducted and the different scenarios for interaction and the exchange of experiences and knowledge that were tested, and a Joint European Model for intergenerational collaboration for teachers is proposed.
