Persistent idiopathic macular hole (IMH) after pars plana vitrectomy (PPV) remains at about 12%. Retrospective evaluation of the results of re-operation continued after IMD surgery.

Evaluation of the 6 eyes in 6 patients from a total of 55 After the second PPV, IMD was concluded in 100% of the operated eyes. In all cases, the visual acuity improved.

Anatomical and functional results of treatment of persistent IMD can be considered satisfactory.
