Abstract
The article introduces the Vattimo's concept of "weak thought" that expresses "the end of facts" as well as of metaphysics, and it analyses the connection of Vattimo's ontology with his understanding of Christianity: Transcendent God, as a residue of nature religions, is dead; the essence of Christianity is caritas, revealed by the kenosis of God.
