Abstract
The conference dealt with the question of how is the Balkans – respectively Bosnia and Herzegovina – reflected in the scientific discourse. The fundamental topic was the issue of negotiation and establishment of collective identities in the realm of the new geo-political arrangement in the southeast of Europe. 18 conference papers were presented and two ethnographic films were shown.
A preview of Markéta Slavková's photograph exhibition – “The Tears, the Sweat and the Dust of Srebrenica” (“Slzy, pot a prach Srebrenice”) was a part of the conference, as well as “Samo jedna Bosna” by Siniša, Boris and Ivana Skenderij, which dealt with the festivity in Bosnia.
