The contribution is devoted to theoretical context of lexical borrowings as one of the ways of possible language lexicon enrichment. Lexical Gallicisms in the Russian language creating the potential of Russian-French interlanguage and intercultural parallels for teaching Russian as second and other foreign language are demonstrated.
These parallels are analysed from the viewpoints of grammar, semantic, culture-historic with the aim to highlight various aspects of vocabulary that contributes to the teaching process optimisation and its effectiveness in the condition of polylingual acquisition.
