This article describes the teaching of philosophy at the Faculty of Arts before November 1989. History of philosophy was an independently accredited specialization, therefore the teaching of it didn't participate in the teaching of Marxist-Leninist philosophy.
It was devided into three main blocks - history of ancient philosophy, history of classical modern philosophy and the hisory of post-modern philosophy (after Hegel's death). Apart from that, there were given lectures of history of Czech philosophy, history of russian philosophy and history of social theories.
The aouthor points out the cursory of those lectures devided into blocks.
