Abstract

Article about coordination in Ancient Greek taking into consideration classical and modern approaches. Conception of coordination, parataxis and asyndeton in traditional Greek reference grammars and in contemporary general linguistics.

Special attention is paid to phrasal and inter-clausal coordination, to semantic types of coordination and to the analysis of copulative, disjunctive and adversative coordinators in Ancient Greek.
