Microscopic fungus Phaeoacremonium rubrigenum was found to be associated with Scolytus intricatus on Quercus robur and Leperisinus fraxini on Fraxinus excelsior. This pathogenic fungus was reported for the first time in the Czech Republic. / During a study of surface mycobiota of the bark beetles, Phaeoacremonium rubrigenum was associated from larvae of Scolytus intricatus (on oak) and an adult of Leperisinus fraxini (on ash).

Phaeoacremonium fungi are associated with decline diseases of woody plants and human infections.
