The article deals with the actual question of collision between the constitutional right to know own biological origin which is also guaranteed by the international treaties and the right of the women in labour to keep hidden her identity as well as to keep in confidence the childbirth itself. The collision is demonstrated on French example where there is relatively detailed legislation concerning the "accouchement sous X" and where the courts have been already confronted with above mentioned conflict (case “Odievre”).
The problem is also given into the larger context of Czech actual practice – baby boxes.
