Chlamydomonas DIP13 and human NA14: a new class of proteins associated with microtubule structures is involved in cell division

Abstract

A single copy C. reinhardtii gene encoding DIP13 protein was cloned and characterise. DIP13 exhibits 60% identity with human NA14 protein.

DIP13/NA14 could represent a new class of proteins that are associated with microtubule structures.
