Abstract
In the afterword to P. Englund‘s Den oövervinnerlige [The invincible] the author explains, how this book takes up the preceding Englund‘s work Ofredsar [Unpeaceful Years] and what is his methodological specificity.
Then he compares the image of the Northern War 1655-1660 in the Swedish, Polish (esp. The Deluge of H.Sienkiewicz) and Danish (esp.
Gjangeavdingen [The Chieftain of Gjange] of C.Etlar) historical tradition and consciousness. At the end he considers the Bohemian historical context of this book.
