Abstract
The article deals with an actualization of Hegel's Conception of Recognition, especially of his early treatment System der Sittlichkeit (System of Ethical Life). It shows that his conception of recognition may be explained more fruitfully in a connection with his conception of ethical life than in a link with the famous exposition of the master-slave struggle for recognition in Phenomenology of Spirit.
